Life Choices has been serving families in Person County for almost 30 years. We are the only pro-life pregnancy center within a 30-40 mile radius and in a county with no obstetrician, we offer free limited ultrasound. And when women and men in our community are faced with an unexpected or under-supported pregnancy, and are wrestling with a pregnancy decision, we know ultrasound is critical. Seeing an image of their baby and hearing its heartbeat can make all the difference. However, we don’t just desire that parents choose life for their baby.  It is our prayer that they will be Encouraged, Educated and Empowered to make good life choices, and ultimately, choose for themselves the Abundant Life Jesus came to give!

Studies show that 60% of women who had abortions would have chosen life if they had greater emotional and financial support. At Life Choices we are committed to making sure women and men receive that support, whether they face this decision alone or together. Free services such as pregnancy tests, ultrasound, pregnancy and parenting classes, material assistance and even a fatherhood program are only possible because of donors like you. Your gift allows us to walk with moms and dads for over 2 years potentially, earning everything they could possibly need for baby - at no cost. Therefore, your Financial Partnership is vital, as we receive zero government funds. Instead, we walk by faith, relying solely on the generosity of God’s people to operate the Center.

Some of the ways your contributions have supported Life Choices clients include:

• Providing a car seat for a mom who fled a domestic violence situation with basically the clothes on her back.

• Supporting a mom who chose life for her baby when the father insisted she abort.

• Walking with a precious grandmother who is wearily but courageously standing in the gap and raising her grandchildren as a result of life’s hard blows.

• Connecting a birth mother to Christian Adoption Services because she bravely chose adoption for her child.

• Encouraging a mom to go back to school and celebrating with her each finished class!

And most recently, witnessing the beauty and reality of our mission in the lives of two of our moms. Diane* became a client in January 2025. Her life has been hard, with little/no support. We began praying with her for a full-time job to support her four children. After finding employment, she still needed childcare for her infant. While attending our weekly Group Class, she shared this need with the other moms and Samantha* offered to care for Diane’s baby. She is now empowered to go to work and focus on her job, knowing her son is safe. What an encouragement they have been to one another!

Our shared mission of Encouraging, Educating and Empowering men and women to make life-affirming choices may seem like what the prophet Zechariah called “small things” (Zech. 4:10), but by partnering with us in this Kingdom work, you are touching lives, and can say with Paul, “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. We are God’s fellow workers” (1 Corinthians 3:6&9).
